 Highfield Stud was started with the Foundation Mare Glenedin Ribhinn,her first foal was the Part Bred Arab Mare Highfield Princess Zara, born 1982,[ who became the studs second brood mare] in 1986 the Stallion Highfield Glen Affric was born, followed in 1988 by the Stallion Highfield Glen Albyn, Ribhinn then had the beautiful fillies Highfield Princess Aileas [Glen Aigas] in 1990, Alba in 1992 ,Alainn in 1994 and Alagainn  in 1995 [ all three by Ben Alder, who was like a dream horse!] . Oulidene and Highfield Princess Aileas are the other Brood Mares.  All the Home Bred Mares and Stallions carry The Knocknagael Bloodlines and have been selectively bred.[ With Ben Alder being the Grandson of Knocknagael Marksman, Alba has the most perfect head very like "Marksman", countless people have commented on this!] .I hope in the future to find a suitable Stallion for Alainn,and continue this line.
